Abseiling maintenance in Delft (Schildersvak)

Commissioned by painting company de Jongh from Waardenburg, employees of ATI Abseiltechnieken (Sint Nicolaasga) recently carried out a painting job at height in Delft.

The neo-Gothic Roman Catholic parish church Maria van Jessekerk, in the centre of Delft, dates from the period 1875-1882. The exterior of the house of worship was in need of a new paint job, but because of, among other things, the building’s location in the city centre, various dormers and turrets were very difficult to reach with traditional climbing equipment.

However, there were plenty of anchor points on the church building to carry out the painting work using abseiling techniques. Painting company de Jongh therefore turned to ATI Abseiltechnieken to tackle the very highest parts of the Maria van Jesse Church.

Some twenty dormers and a turret were expertly painted by these rope acess specialists. The company has been carrying out many painting and other maintenance work at height for clients for many years.
