Eemshaven lift assembly at height using Rope Access

Abseiltechnieken provided assistance for the (dis)assembly of a lift at the RWE Magnum power plant at Eemshaven. In collaboration with crane company Mammoet, we first dismantled the old lift in parts. The new lift was then assembled on behalf of Reco Lift Solutions. The total shaft height of the lift is 53 metres. Our industrial rope access techniques were an excellent solution to assemble the lift at height. A large aerial work platform was initially reserved but in practice, our rope access technicians proved much easier to position in the hard-to-reach locations, as well as performing the work safely and more efficiently.
